Survival Training Camp '09 ♥ :)Okay. I'm finally posting about this! Sorry for this lag. Anyway it took place from the 14th-16th August and i've really enjoyed myself for the three days. Let me start right from the very beginning !
First day (14th Aug) :After school, me xinxia and cai headed down to xx house to put down our school stuffs and prepared for the camp. Bought food to her house to eat too :) Chiong all the way back to school because we are already late and went to the NP room. Many sec2s are already at the foyer. Then after they placed their bags in the NP room, we headed to fall in at the foyer. Firstly, administrative stuffs was done like collecting of their ezlink. And we got to know of our groupings. I was actually in the same group as Norman and Nurul but they both didn't go, so, i was left alone in group1. Nevermind, LMSC was also like that. Only Beatty-ian in that group. Sounds pathetic? :/ Boarded the bus, collect the sec2's valuables :) And then chatted with marcus kahwee xx and cai at the back of the bus. Were we making alot of noise? Haha. Oh and i forgot to mention, there's only 5 pathetic sec3 beatty-ians! And all of us were in different group except for cai and xx (they always in the same group one!! LMSC also! :X) Anyway, in the bus we still thought of heading back because abit throw face luh, 5 sec3s, kena owned by 16/17 sec 2s.
When we reach the
Changi Jetty, the first person we saw, HO Rebecca. We were like stun tio and "eh shit la, this 3days will not be nice anymore :/" Totally mood change and i'm like abit sian diao already. Then the sec2s boarded the bump boat first and we waited for more people to come before heading to Ubin. When we were in the boat, i suddenly remembered that i've left my thermometer in my school bag which is at xx house. Luckily they said there was this forehead one :) Phew. And then we assembled at the area outside the HSBC water building there. Was told where our groups were and went to joined them. Quite a few familiar faces, jeffrey tzejie(!) andre etc (LMSC bravo!) They were discussing about our group cheer then.
"PUMA" was our group name. Other group was addidas, nikey and arena. This year's theme was sports i guess. Haha ours funny cheer. You know the popeye? :D It was drizzling while we waited for more people to come and we wore our ponchos, damn hot and stuffy!
When almost everyone has reached. Our first activity started :
Treasure Hunt :D
First stop, we were told of some 7th month things and the first stop was th stage all those at the front there. So we went and looked frantically for answers to fill in before we can proceed to the next station. We were stuck there for quite long :X Next stop, the water place. One of the answers was so obvious at the picture beside us and we just didn't notice X: The ants one. Haha. And next stop, i forgot where. I only know when we reached the campsite, my group was like cheering? :D Yeah was the 3rd group to reach. And sec3s campsite is at the new one with this very cool and big field whereas sec2s went to the old one (our last year's one). When everyone reached, some admin stuffs was done and there's this points system thing, quite interesting :)
Lucky for us, we got to know that HO rebecca is at the sec2s campsite :P
Next activity which i knew most of us hated :
Tent Pitching. It was so difficult to peg the pegs in! There were stones all around and i've got a blister :/ No offence luh, but most of the tent pitching was done by beatty sec - me xx and yilin :P And there was only 2 girls tent. Hahaha, only 12 girls -.- After tent pitching, there's still a check which is quite cool and our old area doesn't have it.
Dinner was next and we were assigned to a shelter with group 2. We brought all our rations there and began munching on some dry rations because we can't seem to find any solid fuel and time was running out. Everyone ate so little luh, even the guys! Anyway, we reported late after our dinner :X Next activity :
Campfire sing-along session. I volunteered to be a song leader and xinxia was the female mc (*clapclapclap*). Other song leaders are jeffrey (bravo!), chuankai (bravo!) and gavin, one more guy i forgot who :P And male mc was honghui (bravo again!) :D
Ps, so did you see how bravo is bravo? :P Hahaha.
Okay anyway we practised our songs and there's quite a few new songs to me. Then after we practised, went to lead the whole cohord with some help of CIs :) The spirit was okay luh, not really high. Only at the 'she'll be coming round the mountain' everyone got hyper. Because the 'yipee aye aye yipee yipee aye' Very nice to sing :D
After that was
mass debrief at at the same time
supper - sense of urgency not there etc. After that briefing for sentry duty and my group got the last slot, which can gain the most points and have the least sleep. My group was allocated for the 1.30am slot (if i'm not wrong).
So, went back to the tent to sleep and it was quite stuffy. Until about like 1.15am like that woke my group mates up and prepared to go for
sentry duty. Hey, we girls were earlier than the guys :P Planned the route for our sentry and then began. There was one place where we were heading for the jetty and there was this dummy scout boy standing at the dunno where and it was super scary luh. Walked here and there and sweat :X After sentry, went back to sleep and only slept for like 2 hours?! The tent was super stuffy, not like last year where only there's only 3 people in my tent :X
Day 2 (15Aug) :Went for wash up at about 5 and fall in at 6.
Physical Training session. It was quite tiring luh, especially the part where we have to jog up the slope, down the slope etc D: But i still endured through :D Next was
breakfast i think. Same place, same food ; dry rations only. Again, we were late. Next was the
Activity Cycle : IRC, LandEx, Jetty Jump (for my group). Unfortunately,
IRC that time it was raining so we cannot do th activities. Sian ~ Anyway, we played some games like ' concentration, whacko ' etc. Got to know more of my group mates. No IRC, but HRC next year! Looking forward :P Not only games, there was also sing-along session again :X Good change for us to practice our songs. And my group's campfire prep was still not done ): Finally, lunch time. Cooked maggie mee but couldn't finish, and we were late again. Lol. Thanks to guys like jeffrey jeremy andre (all chs) to help clear the things. Yeah, some schools (i shall not name) are just so ungentleman. First to reach the shelter and only taking their rations, first to leave without clearing. Damn F up with these few guys, i think most of my group mates too, all were complaining! Fyi, it's npcc camp luh. Not some leisure camp. We don't care if you are rich or not and whether you are pampered at home or not -.-
After that was our
land expedition. At the start, we were quite enthu and sang songs :) Halfway through, it was raining (again!) and all of us was like sian diao. We took shelter at one of the place while discussing our campfire things and new cheer.
Whoogashaga whoogashaga puma puma :D I love this part. Oh and during the land ex, jeremy keeps talking chinese and the m'am told us "another chinese, you guys will owe us 5". Haha then he spoke again and really kena. Tsk, want speak chinese also speak softer mah :D Then there's this very cute little boy who keeps talking chinese to my group mate and he replied in chinese. Then CIs were like counting LOL. And he was bullying the dog. Super funny, we all laughing there. Then on our way back, met group 2. Their group very high, sing the "there was a stream song". 'cause my group don't know the song so we only help them sing the "gay-eyeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" part :D Hahah. Finally we reached the campsite and there was no time already, so didn't get to do Jetty Jump. What a waste, but it's okay :) At least land ex was kind of fun :D Kena suan-ed by cai xx mucus and skw about the jetty jump ; 'i jump 3 times!', 'i jump 6times' - whatever ! :P
Dinner was next :) And this was the best dinner i have? :D hahaha.
After that was
CAMPFIRE!! Sec2s came over to our site. Ownage man, they have 6 groups while we only have 4 groups. But the spirit we owned them :D Haha! Many sec3s were high i think :) Finally, everyone went to the council ring. Scary~ Was the song leader for this first group consisting of puma and addidas. And first performance was puma :X Screwed up. Then many more songs. Everyone was high luh :) But last year, the CIs of area 13 were super duper high! Haha. Okay and slowly group by group to perform. The theme for sec3s was "comradeship" and sec2s i think was "H1N1". Not bad luh, some sec2s one very cute. Tengteng was complaining how her group screwed the performance (it's okay :D) Yeah then got one sec2 group the cheer also same like ours. Oh and i LOVE addidas group cheer. 'a-a-adiddas, a-a-addidas. that's the way ahah ahah, i like it ahah ahah. that's the way ahah ahah, i like it addidas. addidas yeah!" Then at last, the campfire spirit was gone and campfire "declared close" D: Hahah. In the middle, there's the friendship dance and it was cool. Same dance partner for the 4/5 rounds :P Lol. Then there's this "she'll be coming round the mountain when she comes" the MC very funny.

Oh and at the last part of the campfire, i don't know part of the songs. Very paiseh. But it was
FUNNNNNN :D CIs sang the song "Love me". Very sad :(
After
campfire, we learnt some of our mistakes and
survival games time! Only completed two stations. First one, our task was to make a bag which can contain all our water bottles ponchos etc only by using trash bags, twines. Interesting :) I see other groups one like santa clau's bag. Hahaha. Ours too nice already! :P Next one was opening a can of pineapples without any can opener. At the start, the guys were like using the sides of the shelter to open it. Then CIs taught us another way which is cool luh, i've learnt something :D After that was debrief and supper. Good news for the day, there would not be sentry duty the next day :P Lol. Okay then went to sleep.
Day 3 (16Aug):Have such a nice 4/5 hours of sleep when suddenly whistle blow, which means
fire drill. Everyone was like jumping out of the tents luh. Not only that, i was running my life with my half open eyes. Can't get it open, was super tired! Fire drill at about 5 in the morning. My group miscounted again and got pumped just because of it :/ I think next time should count properly. Kay anyway, we were dismissed for a short
wash up time and then pt time. Same thing, everything was alright until the jog again! (this CI is really trying to torture us :X) Haha. We ran up the slope, down the slpoe so many times! However, not a bad thing luh.
Physical training :D Haha. Many people falled out and there's only like 5 girls surviving! Yeah third day my spirit is higher than second day leh :P
After that,
breakfast time. Ate with xx and cai this time round. Just some ration pack. After breakfast, it was the grand finale!
Grand finale means the time when you can score many many many points and help your group win the best group award :) Haha.
3 stations. First station, where there had to be some where th hands have to interlock, some with legs tied together and some blindfolded. Firstly, the hands interlock group and the legs tied together group will move first and they have to guide the blindfolded people to the ending point. I think we were the third to finish luh ~ Next station - balloons. Where we cannot use our hands to move the balloon to another side and can only use our body. At first, we asked the sir if we can use our mouth and he said can, then some of us just ran with the balloons in our mouth to the ending point and then the sir called us back and told us that everyone was supposed to be supporting the balloons (not clear instructions luh). Have to redo again :/ Okay, last station, finding our group number around the flag pole area. Wah, ours difficult to find luh, i see other groups like so easy to find. And then after finding all the papers we had to form a sentence "staircase to the foyer". Reported there and had to find some paper that write 'finish'. Wah, also very difficult to find. But we found it before another group came. Phew. And we were the third to finish :X
We were briefed on out duties for the
area cleaning and my group was allocated to clean the command post, foyer and canteen area. However, some group snatch away our jobs! Blah. The m'am was supposed to be ours, but nevermind, we went to clean the tent sheets. The sun is shining so brightly like nobody's business and all of us were sweating like m-a-d. More groups came to help and we are done with the vigorous cleaning of tent sheets and probably the most difficult job :) But what are friends for? :D
Secondary Twos then came to our campsite for the last and
final debrief and
prize presentation :) Before that, we had some photo-taking session! (Ps, i can't wait to get the photos!)

Yup. Said bye to people and headed down to celebrate :P I shared my drink with my squadmates. Of course, as the saying goes "有福同享，有难同当" :) ♥
Beatty NPCC all the way ~ Hope the sec2s will have the same spirit back in the unit .
On the way back to jetty, we combined with guangyang sec? And sang some songs haha. And something funny happened to kahwee! His shoes! Hahaha. And we all knew his secret :P ~ Nah, kidding :)
